This year at Michael Church & The New Church UK we are lucky enough to have a rotation of visiting ministers coming from overseas to serve us.
It will be exciting this year to enjoy different sermons and lessons from each of these experienced ministers and learn and appreciate each of their different perspectives.

Most services are at Michael Church, but we aim to have a service at Colchester once a month, and 4 times a year in Oxfordshire.

Rt. Rev. Peter M. Buss Jr.
23rd August - 6th September
Peter and Teresa Buss will be visiting the UK in late August/early September. Peter is the Executive Bishop of the General Church.
He will be preaching in Colchester on August 23, in London on August 30, and in Oxford on September 6. He will be offering a series of messages around the theme of “Send Me: Living Your Faith in Ways that Bring Blessing.” He shares: "We are greatly looking forward to our visit, and look forward to connecting with people around the Sunday worship experiences.”
Rev. Eric Sjodin

Hi everyone,
I am Eric Sjodin, the assistant pastor in the Stockholm Society. I have had the blessing to meet some of you in the past and now I have the greatest blessing of all: To be a part of your Sunday worship. This Sunday's (13th September) theme is going to be about how we build ourselves up so we can better help others.
I am really looking forward to meet old and new faces and have a great time together!
Little about me: I am 37 years old, happily married to my wife and we got two kids. We live in Stockholm, Sweden. Before I joined the priesthood, I served in the Swedish Armed Forces for nine years. I got ordained last year and I have zero regrets. This is the best church in the world!

Rev. Michael Cowley
20th September - 11th October
Michael grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated with a MDiv in 1982. That year he was ordained, married and began his pastoral career. Given his passion for marriage and seeing a significant need for training in professional pastoral counselling in this area, in 2005 he obtained a masters degree in Marriage and Family Counselling, with a speciality in Addiction Recovery.
He and Gwenda have now been married for 44 years. Through ten household and cross border moves they raised 6 children and now are enjoying 14 grandchildren, and a very empty nest in Guelph, Ontario.
They have a passion for small groups and love participating in marriage retreats. Together they have attended trainings by the Gottmans, and Michael is a Certified Gottman Institute “Seven Principles” Educator.
Michael enjoys the great outdoors, photography, sailing and cross country motorcycle trips, and is very excited to make our second trip to the UK . It will be nice to become reacquainted with the friends we met in 2017 at the European Assembly in Hoddesdon, and meeting new friends on our upcoming visit. Although Gwenda won’t be coming in the Fall, we hope she will be able to visit during our February/March visit.

Hello dear friends, I am joyful to return to the UK and to worship with you all again for a few weeks!
I was pastor of Michael Church 2013-16. I truly look forward to seeing so many familiar faces, and perhaps getting to meet some new!
